WHAT A PARTY!
A CLEAN-ISH STUDIO
It’s always gratifying to purge and clean up the studio-even if it’s only once a year. The studio tours always push me to get this accomplished. Other good things happen as well. This year, more new work was completed. A new video, from blank canvas to finished painting, was completed too. The photo above shows how I had that set up during the tour. Want to see it? Email me and I’ll share that with you. Deadlines work! So much was completed in the last 30 days. Now I’m ready for more pouring!
THE PARTY AND THE VISITORS
What a great party it was! There were over 100 people visiting with me during the studio tour…loved talking with everyone. Got some really good questions, good observations, good conversations in general. The guest board was a hub of activity-see the photo above. It’s kinda hard to see but the quote at the top states: “I am an artist, and I have the right to be reckless with my work”-Patti Smith, singer, songwriter, poet, painter and author. Well said.
TITLES
And of course there are 2 paintings in need of titles. I am impressed with the suggestions everyone wrote down-needed to add several pages for people to write on! If you didn’t make it to the studio (feel free to contact me for a private tour!) and have good titles for these 2 paintings, send them to me. I’ll be making the final decisions on titles in the next few weeks. Cheers to a great studio tour weekend!!
