Too damn hot
SCORCHER
It is too damn hot here in the Pacific Northwest. We are in the middle of a drought, record breaking heat-triple digits. Not in our comfort zone to be sure. But I am working in the studio, cooler than outdoors, on this painting. Cant go wrong with a metallic red background. My texture keeps getting grittier and messier. I have other paintings getting the same treatment right now-I can see a transition happening.
HOT AS AZ
Love this painting’s location by the window. Titled “Tree”, 24 x 24 mixed media on canvas. This collector lives in AZ. She has been collecting art for some time-including some of my Dad’s work. One of my biggest fans and I love the support. AZ temps in August reach triple digits most days but she is cool as a cucumber.

Bainbridge Island Museum of Art is having their on line auction again this year-wish it was in person. Stupid covid continues to prevent some events from happening live. This is their big fundraiser for the year. I have 3 paintings and an art experience in the auction. Opens September 19-26 for members of the museum and opens to the public September 22-26.
