MAKING IT HAPPEN

STAY WHERE I PUT YOU PLEASE

More progress with the bronze & gold 5 footer. I love the size but the bigger you get the harder it is to control. Sometimes I have to really get the painting off the floor, as you can see here. I want the paint to stay where I want it and not migrate South. The block is about 3 1/5 inches thick!

ALL THAT WORK FOR A SMALL POUR

As you can see by the photo, the pour was relatively small but in order to get the layers I want I need to build them layer by layer. I need to be patient-not one of my strongest traits.I had to wait 48 hours before I could work on this one again, or to move it at all. Heavy sigh.

MAKING IT HAPPEN

Making it happen for this painting will take even more time and more layers. Still have a ways to go but definitely getting there. This detailed shot shows the area where the pour finally dried. The gold is getting rich! And I did try something new with this painting. The texture you see is cracked walnut shells that I mixed in with the gold gesso. I think it turned out great and will definitely try it again with another painting in the future. So, in 2024, what are you trying that’s new? What are you working on to make it happen?
