Trying a new (to me) product. Alcohol ink. This detail shot shows the color, tangerine-mixed with gold and it pops! It also fizzles…check out my instagram to see how it physically interacts. So weird! Beneath the color is of course cracked walnut shell. As you know, one of my favorite textures to use.

I was very fortunate this month to have traveled to Croatia. Talk about inspiration-the colors are fantastic!! This shot is typical of what the islands around Croatia look like. I have so many great photos (& memories-thank you Chris!) to remind me how beautiful it is there. I was really inspired.

A few things to share with you….I have 2 paintings in the Tacoma Community College Juried local art exhibition. The show opened in June and runs through August 15th. There will be a reception on July 17th from 4-6p, followed by a Salon from 6-8. The Salon will be open to anyone who wants to talk art. You are invited. It is always interesting!

I am also a featured artist at the new Barlow Gallery in Tacoma. I have a handful of paintings up right now and will have more information on events there soon. Check out the their website and find the gallery address here:
