I’M SO TRANSPARENT
ALMOST WATER COLOR LIKE
So if you have been watching me on any of my social media platforms, you may have noticed that I am experimenting with pouring super thin pours. Pouring just water on the canvas first then the very diluted paint into the water. Really hard to control but it is creating some water color like images. Also using a powder fabric dye, very diluted in water, which is this beautiful blue above (detailed shot). It is fascinating to watch this move across the canvas-you can see everything underneath!
MORE LAYERS PLEASE
Using the same technique with this gold and orange painting (detailed shot). All the layers are visible! The gold paint starts to separate a bit and it gets grainy the thinner I go – creating a fabulous texture!
LIQUID GOLD
This photo is also a detail shot of a recent pour. It has baubles (love that word!!!) and a beautiful rich gold, a little less transparent than the paintings above. So many ways to paint…never enough time! And speaking of gold, summer is almost here. I’m definitely ready for some sunshine! Happy summer to you!
