GO GET IT

ANOTHER POUR OF GOLD

Believe it or not this milky pour will be a beautiful gold. This is the thing, even though I know it will look great, it still is a bit of a surprise to me. Every pour is risky in its own way. And it’s like Christmas morning walking into the studio a day later and discovering what it looks like! A gift!!!

TEXTURE-AGAIN

Trying another new texture idea….I sprinkled cracked walnut shells into the wet gesso (primer) to create a random texture. It looks like sand but it isn’t as dense-its very light.Previously I’ve mixed the cracked walnut shells into the gesso then applied it. Next step, one more layer of gesso over this when it dries. Should it be gold or white-which one shall I use?
