Starting a fresh new painting! I love the sight of a blank canvas…trying out another flat color, red violet. So many colors and only so many hours in the day!

I am participating in and a member of the Contemporaries Council at the Tacoma Art Museum. This council is designed to bring together the community and cultivate connections. If you are interested in more dialog about art, the Tacoma Community College is hosting art salon talks the third Thursday of every month. First salon will be held in the art gallery on September 21st. More details to come.

The dog days of summer-what a statement. It fits this summer perfectly. We have had some heat in the Pacific NW recently. Took this beautiful shot during my birthday weekend at the beach. Hope you are staying cool and enjoying the last dog days of summer.
