If you missed my social media post, I will share here that I was on a podcast! Fun! Love participating with local organizations and especially collaborating with friends. My friend Davis Freeman has a new podcast called “My Tacoma” where he interviews local Tacoma people. Goes along with the portrait exhibition he had at the Barlow Gallery in April. He photographed people around Tacoma in their environment.(I was a subject in that exhibit too!) The podcast is an extension of that thought. THIRD SPACE & EN RAMA
I have 2 paintings installed at Third Space. Third Space is a cafe in the building where my studio is located. The owner, Kevin, is all about local. He sources as much as he can from other businesses in Tacoma. Including artwork. The photo above is in the front of his space. Drum roll please…..the winning title is “Strength of a Samurai”. Thank you to all that gave me title suggestions last month! I am grateful for the feedback and will use them for future paintings. Always good to add to the title library! This painting will also be on display through COCA (Center on Contemporary Art) at CollinsPub in Seattle during the Seattle Art Fair . More details to come.
